The History Channel continues to present great viewing television after successful runs in early 2013 with The Bible and the historical drama Vikings. He encounters American Presidents and Russian mystic, Rasputin. Houdini has meetings with some of the most famous names of the 20th century. He was involved in unimaginable escape performances, battles with spiritualists, and even espionage. The magician’s life is not limited to tricks on a stage with a hat and rabbit. Houdini, is produced by Lionsgate and A&E Studios for the History Channel. Brody will play the famous magician, while Connolly is to play his wife, Bess.Īccording to the announcement the series will cover Houdini’s life, from a state of poverty to fame and fortune that came with his incredible performances.


The network announced that they have the green light to start production of the four part miniseries in the fall. History channel’s new miniseries Houdini, will star Adrien Brody (The Pianist) and Kristen Connolly (House Of Cards, The Cabin In The Woods).
